Want to buy some garbage?
Yes that's right guys, now you can actually buy garbage: NYC garbage only! Making sculptures out of trash is what the artist and entrepreneur Justin Gignac started doing. He hunts for garbage, takes it back home, turns it into treasure by packaging it in a small plastic cube. He sold his first NYC garbage cube in 2001 and since then 1 200 cubes were sold all over the world.
The idea was born back in the days when he was a graphic designer student; he tried to convince people of the importance of packaging. It all started around this debate that packaging is more important than the product. In saying that, "the only way to prove such a theory would be to attractively package and sell something that no one their right mind would buy". He explained "Garbage seemed the obvious answer".
I found it really disturbing that some people actually buy those garbage cubes as if they were buying design accessories for their home. I reckon weird things happen in this world! Instead of thinking of effective communication strategies for brands, I should start turning my trash into cash; 100€/box, I would become rich over the years ;-)

Des extincteurs super hypes!
La personnalisation est supra à la mode: de ton portable à tes T shirt en passant par tes baskets, lunettes, sacs & autres accessoires, tout y passe...Aujourd'hui j'ai appris que tu pouvais customiser ton extincteur! Fire Design est une boîte spécialisée dans les extincteurs “design” qui intègrent un détecteur de fumée. Ils ont toutes les couleurs, motifs, dessins pour satisfaire la nana-girly-kikoo-lol au même titre que le geek-bobo-fashion & les autres...
Et la personnalisation a l'air plutôt rapide, facile & sympa...

Ça mousse
Décidément la tendance "Go Green" nous poursuit...

Il paraîtrait que marcher pieds nus sur l'herbe provoque une sensation de plaisir? Je suis perplexe mais en tout cas la designer Nguyen La Chanh en était convaincue...
Depuis quand des étagères servent à ranger des bouquins? Encore de l'herbe, toujours de l'herbe...
Pour le coup, cette création je la trouve plutôt utile et bien pensée...
Que l'herbe soit devenue le "MUST" du gadget à avoir dans son salon (50€ le carré d'herbe!), j'ai quand même du mal à comprendre..Oh well chacun se fait mousser à sa façon.

Des speakers dernière génération
Ce sont nos amis polonais (Witek Stefaniak et Anielka Zdanowisz) qui ont imaginé un truc pas con du tout: des rangements de CD/DVD et étagères qui font office de speakers audios! Pas mal, hein?
